King of Mangoes? Chaunsa! Yes, you heard it right. It is a golden-yellow beautiful mango from a beautiful city itself, Multan. It has a unique and soft aroma with a splendid taste, soft flesh, and less fiber. Seasonal Chaunsa is also known as “Samar-e-Bahisht). Chaunsa mango grows the most in Multan and Rahim Yar Khan districts of Southern Punjab, Pakistan. Pakistan’s Chaunsa is the most popular variety of mango in the World. Moreover, it has a high nutrition profile. History tells that Chaunsa was made popular by Sher Shah Suri while celebrating his Victory over Humayun at Chaunsa, he named his favorite Mango Chaunsa.
Availability: Multani Seasonal Chaunsa is available from July 10 to around August 20.

The aroma of Anwar Ratol is very strong and full of taste

Anwar Ratol is one of most favorite kinds of mango among Pakistanis. It is very sweet in taste. The aroma of Anwar Ratol is very strong and full of taste. History tells that this specie seems to be quite young as its first ever tree planted in Ratol at Uttar Pradesh, India is only a hundred years old. A mango grafter from UP migrated to Pakistan and planted a tree here and named it “Anwar”, after his father’s name. That is how it started being called “Anwar Ratol”. It is perfect in terms of its taste, size, weight, aroma, and shape. Just the name of Anwar Ratol is enough.
Availability: Multani Anwar Ratol is available from June 20 to around July 15.

Dusehri is very famous specie across the world. It’s pulp is orange in colour. It is very pulpy, firmer, and has less fiber. It has a very pleasant smell and is apparently of the large size among the species of mango. It is very ideal for being used for shakes and ice creams. Today this variety of mango grows in many countries of the world including Pakistan, India and Nepal.
Availability: Multani Dusehri or Dasehri is available from June 10 to around July 10.

Malda mango lovers refer it as the fusion of Chaunsa and Anwar Ratol

Malda is a mango that is slightly sour and slightly sweet in the beginning but later becomes very sweet and delicious. It is distinguished by its yellow & light green color and has spots on its skin. It is medium sized mango. Malda mango lovers refer it as the fusion of Chaunsa and Anwar Ratol due to its extremely luscious taste and astonishing aroma. It cultivated not only in Pakistan but also in Bangladesh and India.
Availability: Multani Malda Mango is available from June 5 to around June 15.

Langra is a mango that is earthy in color. If you just look at its color and leave it, you will not be able to enjoy a very tasty mango. This mango has thin stone and has enormous pulp. This mango is said to be sweeter than Malda.

Lal Badshah (Red king) is a mango that gives a color of rainbow.

Sensations, Shan-e-Khuda (God’s magnificence) or Lal Badshah (Red king) is a mango that gives a color of rainbow. It is considered to be the most charming mango in Pakistan as well as being in high demand for export internationally. It exhibits a wonderful fragrance and gives different colors at different stages of its ripeness. The fruit has irregular shape to some extent. The pulp is quite steady, has some fibers & it is very delicious and less sweet in taste. This mango is much suitable for diabetic patients. In fact, we can entitle this mango as a “Sugar-free Mango”. The massive coating of Lal badshah give it a longer shelf life and excessive export value. It can be raise in four colors – red, yellow, green, and purple.
Availability: Multani Lal Badshah is available from August 15 to around September 10.

White Chaunsa or Nawabpuri Chaunsa is a late variety mango. It has an exceptionally sweet mango with a phenomenal aroma and scrumptiously soft, juicy flesh with somewhat of fiber. It has quite a thick stone and the pulp is a fairly light yellow in color. It is available in quite large size. It has longer shelf life. So, it considered to be the most exported mango from Pakistan. In Multan, it is cultivated on huge area.
Availability: Multani White Chaunsa is available from August 25 to around September 30.

Black Chaunsa is a late variety mango.

This mango is not black in color but the reason it is called black is that, it remains green even after full ripening. This mango is extremely sweet in taste and its flesh has something hair-like, scientifically called as “Vascular Canals” which distributes sugar in this fruit. This mango comes after the Seasonal Chaunsa. It is also cultivated in Multan and exported outside Pakistan.

Availability: Multani Black Chaunsa is available from August 10 to around August 30.

12 No. Ratol is a late variety mango.

It is sweet in taste with moderate size and considered to be the first copy of Anwar Ratol. There is a difference in aroma and taste between this and Anwar Ratol but the appearance is alike.
